The demands which are made on various machines in the design process often lead to the machines producing high levels of noise. It is generally known that noise can cause health damage. Spending time in a (working) environment with high levels of noise soon causes discomfort, stress and fatigue. That is why it is beneficial that there are international rules and regulations for noise levels.

If the noise production cannot be prevented at the source, the noise will have to be prevented from travelling on elsewhere. If the sound is created in a location where it can cause damage the sound will also have to be controlled in that location.

A lot of research has been done into sound and sound insulation. However, in practice it does not only involve sound. Other environmental factors also come into play. You might think of the required ventilation and fire regulations. Federtex has the right materials for different applications.
